NWC President Christy attacked for taking Biblical stand

Northwestern College President Greg Christy is suffering attacks from the vocal minority of liberal activists for taking a Biblical stand.

Anyone else sick and tired of the intolerant left erupting into vehement outrage when anyone simply states what the Bible says and what was normative in our culture just a decade or two ago?

Now they are targeting another Christian College that would dare…. to be so outrageous… to have the nerve to…. state publicly that their Christian institution still holds to the sexual ethic of the Bible and their parent denomination.

What did President Christy say that was so outrageous as to raise the ire of the sexual revolutionaries?

While there are many cultural issues that threaten to distort God’s vision for human flourishing, issues related to human sexuality are at the forefront. Pornography, premarital sex, adultery, the objectification of women, and same-sex activity all exemplify the brokenness of sexual desire and expression. Like all good gifts from God, the gift of human sexuality is to be honored, cherished and expressed in ways that bring glory to God. It is within this context that sexual promiscuity of any sort is always wrong, and it’s the reason we call all members of our community to chastity—to celibacy outside of marriage and faithfulness within marriage.

The Bible makes clear in numerous passages that same sex sexual activity is a sin. (1 Cor 6:9-11) and many others. Both NWC college and the RCA have always acknowledged the same truth. Nothing has changed, so why are the sexual revolutionary activists so exercised? The Bible says that the Carnal mind is at enmity with God !

Romans 8:7   The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so.

These phony Christians attacking President Christy are not true Christians. They hate God’s laws, because they want to participate in any sin at any time without anyone speaking the truth and reminding them of their sin and rebellion.
